UVA Plans To Recognize High Achieving Students

The University of Virginia’s Dean of Nursing will be the featured speaker for the school’s Fall Convocation. Dorrie Fontaine (the picture is courtesy of the University’s News Office) will address UVA students, faculty, and parents at 2 p.m. on September 27th at the John Paul Jones Arena. The faculty awards Intermediate Honors to the top 20% of UVA undergrads who did at least 60 hours of course work during their first two years. A member of the community will receive the Thomas Jefferson Award, which is the University’s highest honor. Fall Convocation traditionally kicks off UVA’s Family Weekend.
