Two Albemarle Schools Told To Improve Achievement

Virginia education officials say 41% percent of the state’s public schools met annual benchmarks in reading, mathematics and graduation. Education officials are telling 459 schools statewide to develop and implement improvement plans to raise achievement levels for certain races and other subgroups. Two of those are elementary schools are in Albemarle. They’re Woodbrook (pictured) and Scottsville.
