Delegate David Toscano (D- Charlottesville) says he does not think it’s fair the taxpayer must shoulder the costs for prosecuting former Executive Mansion chef Todd Schneider. Former Democratic Attorney General Anthony Troy has submitted legal bills that exceed $53,000. Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli appointed Troy’s law firm to go after Schneider, who’s accused of stealing food and supplies from the mansion. A spokesman for Cuccinelli says taxpayers are only picking up the tab for prosecuting Schneider.
