They’re getting ready to have a recount in the very close attorney general race. Democrat Mark Herring leads by 165 votes over Republican Mark Obenshain (pictured) following the certification from the State Board of Elections. But Delegate David Toscano says not so fast. Even after a recount, Toscano says there’s a way for Obenshain to win the election by having the Republican-controlled General Assembly decide the outcome. Obenshain would win because the General Assembly is controlled by Republicans. Toscano says Obenshain would have to show that there was some kind of voting irregularity to do that, but so far no irregularity has turned up.
