There Are New Survey Results In The Governor’s Race

Two new polls have been released on the Governor’s Race, and these results included Robert Sarvis of Annandale, the Libertarian Party nominee. The League of Conservation Voters, which has endorsed Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the November 5th general election, sponsored a poll that was conducted by Public Policy Polling of North Carolina. It shows McAuliffe is the choice of 44% of Virginia’s voters, while 37% back Republican Ken Cuccinelli, and 9% favor Sarvis. PPP also found 54% of Virginians have an unfavorable opinion of Cuccinelli, and 48% have an unfavorable view of McAuliffe. A student-run group known as the Emerson College Polling Society has released a poll that gives McAuliffe 45%, Cuccinelli 35%, and Sarvis 10%. This was the first poll by Emerson College of Boston that published survey results involving Virginia’s 2013 Governor’s race. It’s also the first survey that shows Sarvis (pictured with his wife, son, and daughter) with double-digit support. The margin of error for the Emerson College poll is plus or minus 3.8%
