The selection of the interim Scottsville District representative will be one of the first things the Albemarle Supervisors take up when they come together Wednesday night. The agenda for the 6 p.m. meeting includes choosing someone who will serve from July to November. It will happen before matters from the public and a series of Wednesday night public hearings. The board had some temporary friction several months ago after then-Supervisor Chris Dumler entered a January 31st guilty plea to misdemeanor sexual battery. The tone was different July 3rd when the five supervisors who are still in office heard from seven men and three women who want to take Dumler’s old seat. Dennis Rooker (pictured left), Rodney Thomas (pictured center) and Duane Snow (pictured right) will get to vote on the matter. These three board members, along with Ann Mallek and Ken Boyd, say they liked the applicants’ presentations.
