We now have an answer to a question Carole Thorpe of the Jefferson Area Tea Party posed in the early spring. Thorpe appeared on the Schilling Show in early April and demanded to know why Steve Williams (pictured) still had a job at the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission. She highlighted Williams’ handling of a nearly $1 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He has been the TJPDC Executive Director since April 2009. The Board of Directors of the TJPDC recently decided it will not renew Williams’ contract, which will expire August 1st.
