The State Fair held a special ceremony Thursday to honor the memory of a trooper killed there in the line of duty. Last year, 27-year old State Trooper Andrew Fox was directing traffic near the main entrance to the fair when he was hit and killed by an SUV. A pair of plaques in Fox’s honor will now have a permanent place at Meadow Event Park. His father David Fox is teaming up with state legislators to pass “Andrew’s Law” which would bring about stricter penalties for similar vehicular crimes. The SUV driver was given a one year suspended jail sentence and a one-thousand dollar crime.
