State Agriculture Commissioner Will Leave His Post

Virginia’s agriculture commissioner will step down in December. Matt Lohr (pictured) will go to work for the Farm Credit of the Virginias Knowledge Center in Harrisonburg. Lohr is a Rockingham County native who joined Governor McDonnell’s cabinet three years ago. The 42-year-old farmer is a former member of the House of Delegates from the Harrisonburg area.
