A special prosecutor will look into the Joe Morrissey case. Morrissey (D- Henrico County) is a member of the House of Delegates who’s being investigated for whatever relationship he had with a teenage girl who once worked in his office. Police were called to Morrissey’s home in August after they were alerted by the father of the 17-year-old girl who was in the house. Morrissey, his attorney, and the girl have denied any wrongdoing. The Virginia Supreme Court named retired Judge Martin Bass to oversee the case. Bass named Spotsylvania County Commonwealth’s Attorney William Neely as the special prosecutor.
