Speed Considered Factor In Louisa Fatal Car Crash

Two young residents of Louisa County have died in a single-vehicle crash. State Police say 21-year-old Derrick E. Burford and 18-year-old Dawn E. Ross died after their small car veered off Route 33 and hit a tree. The site of the Thursday morning crash is near the intersection of Route 33 and Valentine Mill Road. Ross was scheduled to graduate this month from Louisa County High School. Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
