Shooting Death Of Crozet Girl Ruled Accidental

The shooting death of a young girl in Crozet has been classified as an accident.  Albemarle Police say the incident was accidental in nature when a 14-year-old boy discharged a shotgun Tuesday morning at a house on McAllister Street in Crozet.  The girl has been identified in social media as 10-year-old Maggie Hollifield. County Police have not released any more details.  Visitation for Maggie Hollifield will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Covenant Church in Charlottesville with a memorial service immediately following.  A graveside service will be held in Amelia County.
