A security breach involving University of Virginia students. The Cavalier Daily reports that student Social Security numbers were placed on address labels of health insurance brochures mailed out. It involves over 18,000 names. A Cavalier Daily editor told the Daily Progress that the numbers appear as one sequence without dashes above the students’ names on open enrollment brochures sent out by the Aetna insurance company. The University has offered free credit monitoring for the students.
