(Washington, DC) – Michael Cuddyer [[ kuh-DYE-er ]] and Nolan Arenado each hit a solo home run to power the Rockies past the Nationals 7-6 at Nationals Park. Cuddyer finished 3-for-4 with four RBI for Colorado, which took the final two games of this four-game series. Cuddyer also extended his hit streak to 21 games. Dexter Fowler was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the win. Jorge De La Rosa improved to 8-and-4 after giving up just two runs in six innings of work. Jhonatan Solano knocked in two runs to cap a four-run eighth inning for Washington. Nats outfielder Jayson Werth left in the fourth with an apparent leg injury. Ross Detwiler gave up seven runs in three-and-two-thirds frames for his sixth loss.
