Rhetoric Heats Up In City Council Race

The Democratic nominees for City Council say the city needs new investments in education and transportation. Kristin Szakos (pictured left) and Bob Fenwick (pictured right) favor expanding public pre-schools for at-risk three-year-olds. Fenwick says their Republican rivals are talking a lot about cutting spending. GOP nominees Mike Farruggio and Buddy Weber say they are weary of costly stuidies that never resolve anthing. Farruggio believes the current council treat taxpayers the way you would an ATM. City voters will elect two councilors on November 5th.
