RGIII Ready For The Eagles

Ashburn, VA)  –  Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has given the official word that Robert Griffin the Third will be his starting quarterback for the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that surgeon Dr. James Andrews confirmed RG3 has recuperated adequately enough from offseason ACL surgery to be cleared. “There hasn’t been any setbacks there’s been no swelling.  To my knowledge no soreness he has had in the knee area.  I feel very good where he’s at and hopefully we keep our fingers crossed everything goes great.”  His eight-month recovery is viewed as astonishing because most top athletes take up to a year-and-a-half to fully recover from that kind of procedure.  The “Monday Night Football” opener is set for September 9th at FedEx Field.
