A car was pulled over early Wednesday in North Garden after a police pursuit from Waynesboro. 31-year-old Shannon D. Burton of Waynesboro was driving the SUV and 29-year-old Jonathan Woodard of Maryland was a passenger. Burton has been charged with one felony count of eluding police, five felony counts of child endangerment and one misdemeanor count of aiding and abetting a fugitive. Carter Johnson of the Albemarle Police says the suspects were stopped at around on Plank Road. Burton was also wanted on an outstanding grand larceny warrant from Waynesboro. Woodard has been charged with five felony counts of child endangerment. Woodard was also wanted on a felony probation violation out of Maryland. The children were not injured and were reunited with their mother.
