City officials are tired of waiting for a Georgia businessman to jump start the vacant Landmark Hotel project on the Downtown Mall. The City Planning Commission will discuss the empty structure during its January 14th meeting. In late summer, the city let Atlanta developer John Dewberry know it views the incomplete project as an embarrassing eyesore. The inside of the building is covered with graffiti, and it’s surrounded by a plywood fence. Construction of the hotel ground to a halt in 2010.
