The Republican nominee for attorney general says his Democratic rival’s victory claims are premature. Mark Obenshain (pictured) believes with Herring holding a 164-vote lead, both candidates should hold off talk about a recount until November 25th. Both men have also named transition teams. The two major parties are asking for help to pay for lawyers. Democrats and Republicans hired attorneys who have election law experience following the 2005 contest for the same office. Republican Bob McDonnell edged Democrat Creigh Deeds in that recount eight years ago.
