Nominees For Attorney General Contrast Their Voting Records

Two men who want to be the next Attorney General of Virginia were Friday guests on Charlottesville Right Now. State Senator Mark Obenshain (R-Harrisonburg) says he’s beeen standing up for Virginia’s property owners and played a key role in winning voter approval of last year’s constitutional amendment that deals with eminent domain. Obenshain’s opponent is State Senator Mark Herring (D- Loudoun County) who voted for a major transportion package that cleared the General Assembly last winter. Herring has criticized Obenshain for voting against the transportation plan. Virginians will pick a new Attorney General on November 5th.
