Most Virginia House Members Vote To Cut SNAP Budget

Most of Virginia’s House delegation has voted to slash the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Robert Hurt, Eric Cantor, and Bob Goodlatte are among the Virginia critics of the former “food stamps” program. Cantor (pictured) says too many SNAP recipients are people who are gainfully employed. Virginia Organizing has Cantor and other congressmen who voted to cut the SNAP budget. Director Joe Szakos has accused them of playing politics.
