Metallica Raises Money For Harrington Fund

Metallica is helping to honor the memory of a fan who was abducted and murdered after a 2009 concert at the John Paul Jones Arena. The heavy metal band is teaming up with Virginia Tech to produce a tee shirt that features the lyrics of their song, “Enter Sandman.” A portion of the funds go to the Morgan Harrington Fund. More than $61,000 has already been raised. A plaque that honors Morgan Harrington (pictured) is part of UVA’s Copeley Road Bridge.
