McAuliffe Enlists Former UVA Professor For Campaign Trail

Less than 48 hours after an event with Vice-President Biden, Democrat Terry McAuliffe has enlisted a onetime University of Virginia professor to join him on the campaign trail.    The candidate for Governor is traveling Monday with Michael Mann, whose work on global warming has been challenged by Republican rival Ken Cuccinelli.   McAuliffe and Mann will spend part of their day at a Preston Avenue facility called Hemosonics, and then go to the campus of Virginia Tech.    McAuliffe got some fundraising help Saturday night from Vice-President Joe Biden (pictured), who accused Republicans of being insensitive to women.   Cuccinelli says he’s challenging Biden to debate him on the state of the economy, Virginia’s right-to-work law, and what the Attorney General calls Obamacare.    House of Delegates Majority Leader Kirk Cox says McAuliffe has done a lot of boasting about his business experience, but has little to show for it.    McAuliffe and Cuccinelli are competing in the November 5th contest for Governor.
