A man is accused of trying to bring a loaded gun onto a plane at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport. The Transportation Security Administration says it happened Monday. The TSA says the gun was spotted in the man’s carry-on bag. It was a .22 caliber handgun loaded with 5 rounds. He’s described only as being from Virginia who was catching a flight to Atlanta. The man was not charged because he did have a concealed weapons permit. He was allowed to get on the plane without the gun and ammo. The TSA recommends you check out their website to see what items are not allowed on planes, and make sure you check through your bags before going to the airport.
