Madison Man Gets Prison Term For Fraudulent Ads

A Madison County man who posed as an ex-girlfriend in sexually-themed ads on Craigslist will spend five years and six months in prison. After Federal Judge Glenn Conrad announced that sentence, Kenneth Edward Kuban began to cry. The 61-year-old Kuban (pictured) admitted he used his work computer at the Library of Congress in Culpeper County to post the ads. U.S. Attorney Tim Heaphy declared Friday that Kuban wanted to make his ex-girlfriend’s life a living hell, and he enticed countless men to visit her home for sexual encounters. The woman who was the target of those Craigslist ads attended the sentencing in the Vinegar Hill courthouse. She doubts she will ever recover from the experience, and she worries the images posted of her on the internet will stick around forever.
