Albemarle Commonwealth’s Attorney Denise Lunsford has accused a Missouri lawyer of posting naked pictures of her online. The St. Louis Business Journal is reporting Lunsford is asking a Missouri judge to issue a protective order against David Cosgrove. Cosgrove was once the chief legal counsel for Missouri’s former Governor Bob Holden, and currently serves on the Missouri Housing Development Commission. Lunsford is asking for a protective order that would include prohibiting Cosgrove from making threats to commit violence against her, coming within 500 feet of her or her children, and posting her image or name on social media. Her attorney petitioned a court for the protective order earlier this month. Lunsford has also accused Cosgrove of being addicted to alcohol. The Missouri newspaper also quotes Cosgrove’s lawyer, who says Lunsford is trying to punish his client and protect her own political ambitions. Lunsford and Cosgrove first met in the late 1980’s, when both of them were law students at Washington and Lee University.
