Members of the local LGBT community are disappointed by the failed vote by the Albemarle Supervisors to recognized Pride Festival Day. Charlottesville City Council issued a proclamation officially recognizing September 14 as Pride Festival Day. The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors discussed a motion to support a similar resolution and it failed on a 3-3 vote.
