Kevin Castner Becomes Temporary Leader Of Shenandoah Schools

A man who led the Albemarle County schools for more than a decade will be a temporary superintendent in Shenandoah County.      The Shenandoah County School Board has hired Kevin Castner (pictured) as the short-term successor to Keith Rowland, who’s retiring.     Castner began working in Albemarle in early 1995 and spent nearly 11 years as the school superintendent.      Castner will turn 66 in November.    He expects to spend at least four months running the Shenandoah school division.
