Kendrick Leads Phillies Past Nats

(Philadelphia, PA)  —  Kyle Kendrick fired seven strong innings to lead the Phillies past the Nationals 3-1 at Citizens Bank Park.  Kendrick gave up just one run on five hits and a walk as he improved his mark to 8-and-6.  Jonathan Papelbon closed it out for his 20th save.  Ben Revere, Kevin Frandsen and Michael Young all plated a run for the Phils, who won three of the four games in the series.  Ryan Zimmerman drove in the lone run on a sac-fly in the sixth inning for the Nats, who had won four in-a-row before this series.  Jordan Zimmermann allowed two runs on eight hits over six-and-a-third frames as he fell to 12-and-4 with the tough-luck loss.
