(Philadelphia, PA) — Kyle Kendrick fired seven strong innings to lead the Phillies past the Nationals 3-1 at Citizens Bank Park. Kendrick gave up just one run on five hits and a walk as he improved his mark to 8-and-6. Jonathan Papelbon closed it out for his 20th save. Ben Revere, Kevin Frandsen and Michael Young all plated a run for the Phils, who won three of the four games in the series. Ryan Zimmerman drove in the lone run on a sac-fly in the sixth inning for the Nats, who had won four in-a-row before this series. Jordan Zimmermann allowed two runs on eight hits over six-and-a-third frames as he fell to 12-and-4 with the tough-luck loss.
