Jurors Will Consider Wrongful Death Suit Against Huguely In Late 2014

The date has been set for a $30 million wrongful death lawsuit against onetime UVA student-athlete George Huguely.  A city jury will take up the matter during a two-week trial that’s scheduled to begin September 29th, 2014. The jury will convene at the Charlottesville Circuit Court (pictured). That’s the same court where Huguely was convicted of the May 2010 second degree murder of fellow student Yeardley Love. His newest legal team has tried to acquire Love’s personal and medical records. His lawyers have not been able to get them from a medical examiner or from a forensic science agency. Love’s surviving family members are trying to get more than $30 million in damages.
