There’s no backing down from both sides in the attorney general race. The unofficial result from the State Board of Elections is that Democrat Mark Herring won the November 5th contest by 164 votes over Republican Mark Obenshain. Obenshain can call for a recount after the State Board of Elections certifies the results on November 25th. Marc Elias, a lawyer for the Herring campaign, is confident that his side would prevail in a recount.
