Governor Reappoints Goodwin, Picks Three New Men For UVA Board

Governor McDonnell has made his final set of appointments to the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia. The one reappointment is a Richmond area businessman who has deep ties to UVA, and is the current Vice-Rector. The Governor’s new appointees are Kevin Fay of McLean, Frank Genovese of Chesterfield County, and John Griffin of New York City. Goodwin, Fay, Genovese and Griffin are UVA alumni and their terms will expire in the summer of 2017. The three new men have replaced former board members Alan Diamonstein of Newport News, Vince Mastracco of Norfolk and MacDonald Caputo of Greenwich, Connecticut. Each of them had served the maximum two terms.
