General Assembly Republicans say it’s time to empower innovative teachers. They have unveiled their education goals for the 2014 session, which will begin in early January. State Senator Frank Ruff (R-Mecklenburg County) wants to use technology to set up more virtual classrooms. Ruff (pictured) says virtual education is a big help for kids in rural school divisions.
