Golf Cart Crash Injures Eight In Louisa County

A 69-year-old Manassas woman was seriously injured after a golf cart overturned on Memorial Day in Louisa County. Mary Mleziva was injured when her husband lost control of the golf cart he was driving and the vehicle landed on its passenger side. State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says 72-year-old John R. Mleziva has been charged with reckless driving. His wife has serious injuries and was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center. Geller says John Mleziva, his son and daughter-in-law and four grandchildren had minor injuries and were transported to UVA. The grandchildren range in age from 3 to 12. The golf cart crashed around 2:45 p.m. Monday.
