After announcing his retirement earlier, this Monday was the last day on the job for federal judge Waugh Crigler. Crigler has served as a U.S. Magistrate in Charlottesville federal court for 32 years. His assistant, Judy Pace, is also retiring. A panel of judges will recommend his replacement after interviewing applicants. The chief judge of the Western District of Virginia will make the final selection.
