Father Of UVA Student That Overdosed Reacts

The father of a University of Virginia sophomore says honors student Shelly Goldsmith should not be remembered as “a druggie who died.”  Robert Goldsmith says he wants to warn people that if his daughter could overdose “anyone can.”  She died after collapsing at a DC nightclub last weekend. Her friends said she had taken “molly,” a more-potent form of ecstasy. It’s also suspected in recent deaths of young people at clubs and concerts in New York and Boston.
