Fairfax Animal Shelter Won’t Take In New Dogs Citing Fear Of Flu

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter is not accepting new dogs, because some current animals might have canine influenza. Shelter Director Tawny Hammond says one dog died from pneumonia and a dozen others have breathing problems. The illnesses do not pose a threat to humans.
