Chicago, IL) — Adam Dunn hit his 23rd home run of the season with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the White Sox a 3-2 win over the Orioles at U.S. Cellular Field. Dunn finished 3-for-4 with two RBI as Chicago took the rubber match of the three-game series. He and Alexei Ramirez both singled in runs in the sixth to stake the Sox to a 2-0 lead. An error by Dunn and a sac-fly by Nick Markakis tied the game at two for Baltimore in the eighth inning. Addison Reed got the win in relief of starter Jose Quintana, who struck out 11 while allowing just two hits in seven shutout innings. Tommy Hunter took the loss for the O’s.
