C’Ville Pride Remains Upset That A Resolution Of Support Was Rejected

Some residents are still upset about the Albemarle supervisors’ rejection of a resolution that would support Pride Festival Day. The Pride Festival is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender culture. The event will take place Saturday at Lee Park in Charlottesville. C’Ville Pride President Amy Sarah Marshall says her organization is not a special interest group. The resolution failed on a tie vote September 4th with Supervisors Ken Boyd, Rodney Thomas and Petie Craddock voting against it.
