The Albemarle School Board will not change the way it handles class rankings anytime soon. A diverse group of parents has encouraged the school division to drop traditional rankings of graduating students and take another look at grade point averages. Pam Moynihan (pictured) was on the prevailing side when the board rejected a motion Thursday to adopt a new system in the 2016-’17 academic year. It failed on a 4-3 vote.
