Comm School Official Indicted On Child Pornography Counts

A high-ranking official at UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce has been indicted on child pornography charges. 50-year-old Michael G. Morris of Crozet was arrested by the FBI November 6th. A grand jury in Harrisonburg federal court indicted Morris on two counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession. Following his arrest, FBI agents said they downloaded more than 17 child pornography videos directly from his internet address. Morris had been serving as the associate dean for graduate programs at the McIntire School of Commerce. He was suspended immediately after he was arrested. Federal authorities say Morris went by the internet name of “funshooter2006.”
