Candidates Hear From Downtown Residents, Business Owners

All four candidates for City Council appeared Wednesday night before downtown business leaders and the North Downtown Neighborhood Association. They fielded questions about trouble makers on the Downtown Mall and the need for more police officers in the central business district. Some audience members told the candidates they are looking for solutions to parking shortages in the downtown area. The four hopefuls include Democrat Bob Fenwick (pictured left), Republican Mike Farruggio (pictured second from left), incumbent Democratic Vice-Mayor Kristin Szakos (pictured second from right) and Republican Buddy Weber (pictured right). Voters will elect two city councilors on November 5th.
