Buford Teachers Expect To Use New Science Labs Soon

Four new science labs at Buford Middle School are scheduled to become operational within a week. Buford Principal Eric Johnson plans to have his faculty start using the new labs on September 13th. The current labs date back to 1966, the year Buford opened. Capital Projects Manager Mike Mollica (pictured) says the new Buford labs will consume almost half of a $3 million allocation. The City School Board also wants to see some progress on new science classrooms at Charlottesville High School. The current science classrooms at CHS are nearly 40 years old.
