The red-hot Upton extended his hit streak to 12-games as Atlanta won its 13 straight. B.J. Upton collected four hits, while Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman each drove in run for the Braves, who swept the three-game series. Kris Medlen improved to 9-and-10. Washington’s Jayson Werth hit his 16th long ball of the season, had two RBI and scored twice. Reliever Ryan Mattheus was handed his first loss of the season.
