Assigning a letter grade to each school in the state will happen soon. The State Board of Education is signing off on an “A to F” school grading system. UVA alumnus David Foster (pictured) is the President of Virginia’s Board of Education. The system will assign letter grades to schools based on the percentages of students demonstrating proficiency, academic growth, and their readiness for college or a career.
