All eight candidates for the Albemarle Board of Supervisors have shared their views on growth and development with the North Charlottesville Business Council. They fielded questions Wednesday about the county’s approach to economic development, major road projects, and the future of elementary schools where most of the students live outside the designated growth areas. The candidates include (left to right) Republican Cindi Burket and Democrat Jane Dittmar of the Scottsville District, Democrat Liz Palmer and Republican Duane Snow of the Samuel Miller District, Democrat Brad Sheffield and Republican Rodney Thomas of the Rio District, and Independents Diantha McKeel and Phillip Seay of the Jack Jouett District. Voters in those four districts will elect supervisors on November 5th.
