Benefit Car Show Raises Money For Family Of Missing Teen

The president of the Street Elements Auto Club says a benefit car show in Nelson County raised more than $5000 to help out the family of Alexis Murphy. The 17-year-old from Shipman should be starting her third week at Nelson County High School, but she vanished on August 3rd. A benefit “cruise-in” to help Murphy’s family included hot rods, Corvettes and Mustangs. A judge in Lovingston has denied bail for Randy Taylor, the 48-year-old man who’s facing an abduction charge in connection with this case. The likeness of Murphy is pictured here.
