A warrant officer with the Judge Advocate General Corps led this year’s Memorial Day observance in Charlottesville. Carolyn Taylor shared the stories of JAG Corps members Howard, Sharon, Cornell and Michael who made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle zones of Vietnam and Iraq. Many organizations donated wreaths that became temporary additions to the lawn of the main County Office Building on McIntire Road. Taylor’s audience was also treated to patriotic music from the Charlottesville High School band. There was a separate holiday obserance in the Earlysville area of Albemarle County.
