A Republican member of a local electoral board is a critic of the federal lawsuit that Virginia Democrats filed earlier this month. Clara Belle Wheeler of Albemarle County is making arguments that mirror a Friday ruling by U.S. District Judge Claude Hilton. The judge has told Virginia Democrats he found nothing wrong with purges of voters who have died or moved to another jurisdiction.
