Amtrak Riders Get Stuck In Richmond

More than 250 Amtrak passengers were stuck on a train north of Richmond for about 12 hours overnight. The train stalled just three miles from the station in Henrico County and inched along for more than half the day Sunday. Amtrak says the train had to move slowly because the dining car was having axle problems. Train 91 was supposed to arrive in Richmond Sunday afternoon, but it did not get into the station until Monday morning. The train originated in Washington, D.C. Some passengers got off the train in Henrico, but others stayed on board to get to the final destination of Miami.
